Sound of the Sea on Deal Beach CD

People with tinnitus often find noise to be more intrusive in a quiet environment. Sound therapy can help by reducing the contrast between tinnitus and silence, helping the auditory system to become less tuned into tinnitus. The sound of the sea coming in on a pebble beach is also a useful, calming aid to relaxation, which in itself can be very helpful for people.

Deep Relaxation: A Journey CD

This CD comprises a series of six deep relaxation sessions.Teaching yourself to relax does not happen overnight, although the benefits will actually start from the moment you begin the practice. By spending time on yourself, you are taking an active part in and control of your own well-being.

Eileen Hewitson is a member of the Birmingham & District Tinnitus Group. Eileen taught patients with tinnitus at City Hospital, Birmingham and ran training courses for health professionals to teach relaxation. Her hearing loss and tinnitus started in her twenties.
